Course Details
This is an introductory course for the study of political ideology. The course will familiarize the student with various and their counter ideologies. In addition, the student should develop an understanding of how to analyze rhetoric and political reality.

    Assignments 50 - 70%, Final 30 - 50%, Total 100 %. Grading procedures follow NVIT policy.
    Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, the student will demonstrate knowledge, skill, and/or attitudes in the following:

  • various dimensions of political ideology;
  • acquaint and familiarize students with concepts of political discourse;
  • describe and analyze the foundation and significance of contemporary political ideologies and approaches to politics; and
  • understand how different and sometimes competing ideas and values institute different conceptions of political reality.
