Course Details
A continuation of MATH 050 in intermediate Algebra, it completes the requirement for the BC secondary school Pre-Calculus of Math 11 equivalent Algebra course, and prepares students for post-secondary math courses requiring PC Math 11.

    Procedure:
    Assignments/Chapter tests/Midterm Exam 50-70%, Final Exam 30-50%, Total 100%. Grading procedures follow NVIT policy.
    Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course students should be able to:

  • graph, simplify and solve polynomial expressions, equations and inequalities;
  • graph, simplify and solve rational expressions, equations and inequalities;
  • graph, simplify and solve radical expressions, equations and inequalities;
  • graph, simplify and solve exponential expressions, equations and inequalities;
  • graph, simplify and solve quadratic expressions, equations and inequalities;
  • simplify and solve trigonometric expressions and equations; and
  • graph, simplify and solve linear expressions and equations.
