Course Details
This course is structured so participants will further develop their understanding and speaking skills of Nadut'en. Participants will continue their study of the language structure. Major emphasis will be on conversation (develop speaking and understanding). Secondary emphasis will be on pronunciation and review of the sounds, as well as further discussion on the grammatical structure of language.

    Procedure:
    Assignments 50-70%, Final 30-50%, Total 100%. Grading procedures follow NVIT policy.
    Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  • demonstrate a familiarity with language sounds and orthography using the North American Phonetic Alphabet be introduced to advanced conversational language - Nadut’en dialect;
  • demonstrate an ability to further develop listening, understanding and speaking in order to discriminate language sounds/words and be introduced to writing skills; and
  • demonstrate an ability to continue to practice basic and everyday oral/ written communication, listening and writing skills.
