Course Details
Students will build on their abilities developed in STLG 270 to gain an enhanced understanding of language analysis methodologies and grammatical structures while continuing to expand their vocabulary of St'a'timcets. This course will expose the student to an advanced analysis of word-formation and introductory analysis of St'at'imcets sentence structures.

    Procedure:
    Assignments 50 - 70%. Final 30 - 50%. Total 100%. Grading procedures follow NVIT policy.
    Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  • demonstrate an increased ability to listen, understand and respond in conversational situations;

  • communicate effectively using seasonal, environmental and cultural activities as suggested topics;

  • demonstrate an increasing ability to use appropriate grammatical structures;

  • demonstrate the ability to apply grammatical structures of more advanced sentence structures;

  • demonstrate the ability to write the St’at’imcets through dictation and translation with emphasis on spelling; and

  • analyze and discuss language usage through traditional/cultural story telling.
