The First Nations Public Administration Certificate introduces students to general business and administration. Course topics include: accounting, management, community development, organizational behaviour and Canadian government and politics. The diploma offers the option to specialize in one of four Band administration areas including: Education, Health, Housing and Band management. Course topics include: Politics and Education, proposal writing, economics and taxation and diplomacy and leadership. Graduates are prepared for a wide variety of respected First Nations Public Administration careers.
The program is planned over a multi-year schedule, and emphasizes collaboration between students, and with the instructors, so you’ll frequently work in groups that vary in size with tasks, assignments and projects.
