This course helps learners develop and increase essential skills in reading text, applying numeracy applications, and understanding curriculum documents in trade programs. This course prepares learners with test-taking strategies relevant to their programs.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this course students should be able to:
demonstrate an understanding of the essential skills in relation to the trades industries;demonstrate an understanding of the literacy skills required for the trades industries; demonstrate an understanding of the numeracy skills required for the trades industries; demonstrate an understanding of the document usage skills required for the trades industries; anddemonstrate a measurable gain in their respective essential skills.
