This course is the second of two courses that teach students the fundamental concepts of mathematics required to understand the theory of electricity and electronics.

    Instructors Qualifications: Relevant Master’s Degree and at least 5 years relevant experience
    Office Hours: 1.5 per week
    Contact Hours: 30
    Student Evaluation
    Procedure:
    Assignments 50-70%, Final 30-50%, Total 100%. Grading procedures follow NVIT policy.
    Learning Outcomes:

    Upon successful completion of this course students should be able to:



    • demonstrate the ability to use algebraic principles to solve equations involving algebraic fractions, and to rearrange and solve formulas;

    • use basic trigonometry to solve problems involving right triangles;

    • demonstrate the ability to use basic trigonometry in degrees and radian measure; and

    • demonstrate the ability to use decimal, binary and hexadecimal numbers.
