This is a capstone course in which students integrate word processing, spreadshee, database, desktop publishing, and presentation software, along with their job knowledge. Students will complete a variety of office administrative tasks including dcision-making, time management, record management, and prioritizing.

Learning Outcomes:
|
Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
- demonstrate the mathematical skills and use of logic to solve business-related problems;
- calculate percent and their applications in business;
- calculate simple interest and promissory notes;
- calculate compound interest and present value;
- identify consumer and business credit;
- prepare financial statements and ratios;
- review insurance, investments, depreciation, inventory, and taxes;
- solve mathematics or merchandising problems, including cash and trade discounts, mark-up and mark-down;
- demonstrate competence in the solving of financial problems involving the calculation of simple and compound interest in discount, annuities, investment and management decisions;
- solve basic linear problems in two variables and determine break-even positions in business; and
- demonstrate use of basic statistics.
