Course Details
The intent of this course is to refine intervention skills at the individual, family, group and community level. Specific objectives will be established on a contract basis between students, faculty and the agency. A wide variety of agencies are available.

Prerequisites : SOCW-353 , SOCW-404 , SOCW-306 , and 150 completed hours. Corequisites : fourth year standing.
Course Outline

Instructors Qualifications:	Master's of Social Work.
Office Hours:	1.5 hours for every 3 hours of classroom instruction

Student Evaluation Procedure:	Methods of evaluation will be based on tasks, activities, strategies and methods of evaluation relevant to the practica placement agency and related student learning objectives.
Learning Outcomes:	Upon completion of this course the student should demonstrate knowledge, skills and/or attitudes in the following: To analyze their own practice and apply theory to it; To develop skills of working with consumers from culturally diverse backgrounds in a variety of roles, such as: counseling, advocacy, education, group work, community development, etc.; and To demonstrate professional judgement and independent practice by planning and carrying out interventions after appropriate consultation.
