Course Details
This course will continue to build on the St'at'imcets skills in STLG 250. Students will advance their understanding of and speaking of St'at'imcets through increased language proficiency in more advanced and sophisticated conversation. Students will enhance their knowledge of oral tradition.

    Procedure:
    Assignments 50 - 70%, Final 30 - 50%, Total 100%. Grading procedures follow NVIT policy.
    Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course students should be able to:
  • speak and respond in a wide variety of conversational situations;

  • demonstrate St’at’imcets conversation using more advanced sentence structures that demonstrate enhanced St’at’imcets vocabulary in classroom, family and community situations;

  • demonstrate lexically complex St’at’imcets grammatical structures;

  • explain orally in St’at’imcets the relationships between St’at’imcets knowledge and the territory (eg. Plants);

  • demonstrate an understanding of the connections between St’at’imcets and the culture associated with the way of life of the St’at’imc; and

  • demonstrate and understanding and proper use of St’at’imcets rules.
