International Admissions Communication
NVIT has permanently suspended the intake of international students except for the intake of students from the Indigenous peoples. NVIT will continue to accept the intake of students from the Indigenous peoples in accordance with UNDRIP.
In early 2024, BC implemented federal changes to International admissions in which Provincial attestation letters are now required for new study permits. Every BC Post-Secondary institution received a Provincial Attestation Letter allocation. NVIT’s allocation is ‘0’ for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025 and therefore cannot accommodate new applications from international applicants for the September 2024 intake.
If you are an International applicant and you qualify as a student from the Indigenous peoples for the Academic Year 2025-2026, please contact the NVIT Registrar’s Office for an admissions package. If you are applying to NVIT under the Jay Treaty or are a Permanent Resident, please apply through Education Planner BC and reach out to NVIT Admissions for the next steps.
