THE NVIT DIFFERENCE
What We Look For
Admission Requirements
NVIT aims to provide inclusive education that breaks down barriers. Our focus is on your potential and readiness to learn. We require a certain level of proficiency in English and Math, and if you are unsure where you stand, we have placement tests through Accuplacer to help you. We are dedicated to supporting your educational journey every step of the way.
For Post-secondary Transfer Applicants
NVIT assesses your academic performance and courses taken in post-secondary. To determine transferability of courses to NVIT, please visit BCTransferGuide.ca or connect with an Academic and Financial Planner.
THE NVIT DIFFERENCE
Beyond Academic Requirements
For Personal Growth and Development
NVIT is dedicated to honing and developing the hard and soft skills you need in life. Whatever program you choose, you will have the opportunity to meet new people, understand different perspectives, share your own story, and contribute to meaningful discussions. NVIT also offers an avenue to immerse in Indigenous ways of knowing and being. We welcome both Indigenous peoples and allies to study at NVIT.
For Better Career Opportunities
Your future is very important to us at NVIT. We know that our learners aspire to open more doors with their credentials. Whether it’s a certificate, diploma, associate of arts degree, or bachelor’s degree, NVIT aims to help our learners achieve better opportunities that lead to an improved quality of life.
For Giving Back
With our Indigenous mandate, NVIT’s mission is to share traditional ways and enhance the quality of life for Indigenous peoples. Beyond academics, we welcome everyone who wishes to better themselves and, in turn, elevate the lives of their respective communities. Our students come from various communities across British Columbia and Canada, and NVIT supports them as they strive for personal development that positively impacts their communities.
