To help with your studies, NVIT uses several apps and online services. Some will help you communicate with instructors and fellow students and others will help you keep track of your courses and assignments. Since every course is different and each instructor will use these tools differently, familiarizing yourself with the different platforms will help you access and get started with these tools.

Moodle
The NVIT Moodle is a Learning Management System (LMS) that some courses will use. You will access resources, assignments, forums, quizzes and course information in this platform. In general, if your course uses Moodle, your instructor will generally give you an overview of how they would like you to use it.
Self-Service
NVIT Self-Service provides access to a range of information related to your academic progress and financial documents, including the ability to:
- View your grades
- View the progress in your program(s)
- View course catalogs (schedules)
- Plan and register for courses
- Access your unofficial transcript
- Apply for graduation
- Enter SIN information
- Access tax forms (T2202)
- View financial statements
- Make online payments
Office365
As a student of NVIT, you have access to the Microsoft Office Suite, which includes Outlook (for email), Teams (communications), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and several other apps. Teams is used for online lectures and class connection. We recommend downloading the Teams app for the best experience.
Grammarly
Grammarly helps perfect your writing not only by checking your spelling, punctuation, and grammar but also by ensuring that everything you type is clear, compelling, and easy to read. NVIT offers a free account to NVIT students.
Campus Computers & Wi-Fi
The library has computers available for use, as well as laptops available for short-term sign-out. To borrow these devices, please connect with the campus Library Coordinator. You are also welcome to connect your personal devices to the campus guest wi-fi. Proceed to the reception area to get the access information.
