- Entrance Awards – Deadline: August 15 each year

NVIT Graduation Application – Apply Now!
All NVIT students must apply to graduate to receive their credentials, whether or not they plan to attend the ceremony. If you are completing a program, a graduation application is required.
You can apply at any time through NVIT Self-Service, where you can also RSVP for the Graduation Ceremony.
Graduation Ceremony Dates:
- Vancouver Graduation Ceremony – June 5, 2026
- Merritt Graduation Ceremony – June 12, 2026
Graduation Ceremony Deadline – March 31, 2026
To participate in the Graduation Ceremony, you must:
- Apply by March 31, 2026
- Pay the graduation ceremony fee by the deadline
Apply to Graduate
Before submitting your application, ensure your information is correct in NVIT Self-Service:
- Name Changes: Provide official documentation to the Registrar’s Office for any name updates.
- Address Changes: Update your address through Self-Service.
- Graduation Ceremony: To register for the ceremony, check the Commencement box when applying.

Join the NVIT Student Ambassador Program!
Are you passionate about NVIT and want to get involved? Become an NVIT Student Ambassador and help build a strong student community!
What You’ll Do:
- Represent NVIT as a student leader
- Share NVIT updates and social media content
- Assist with events like Orientation, Graduation, and Career Fairs
- Create social media content about student life and deadlines
- Participate in off-campus events like recruitment fairs
Requirements:
- Be a current NVIT student with a GPA of 2.33+
- Have an active social media account (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
- Attend monthly Student Ambassador meetings

NVIT Student Health & Dental Plan – Stay Covered
As an NVIT student, you have access to a Health & Dental Plan to support your well-being. Here’s what you need to know:
- Automatic Enrollment – Students are automatically enrolled in the plan upon course registration.
- Opt-Out Deadline – 30 Days from Program Start
If you have existing coverage and wish to opt-out, you must complete the opt-out process online through Gallivan. NVIT cannot opt-out on your behalf. To submit your opt-out form, visit: mystudentplan.ca/nvit. - First Nations Students – Not Automatically Enrolled
Students with First Nations status can access coverage through FNHA and are not automatically included in this plan. If you wish to opt in, please contact the Registrar’s Office at registrarsoffice@nvit.ca.
